Parking of car in an open area under direct sunlight caused greenhouse effect in the car even it is parked for short period of time. Radiation enters the passenger compartment through front and rear screens and side windows and remain trapped in the vehicle which results in increased temperature of the cabin. The heat in such parking conditions causes the car dashboard temperature to reach up to 85°C. This heat also causes the car seat and steering temperature to increase up to 65°C on average.
The drastic increase in temperature results in color fading and degradation of different parts inside the car. Heat stroke in an adult person can occur when temperature reaches above 50 degrees and children’s body temperature can reach faster than adults. This drastically high temperature in the car used to be very uncomfortable for passengers and they have to wait for 3-5 minutes before sitting in the car.
The car temperature can be controlled by an AC system that can be regulated while the car is running. However, it takes sometimes to get the comfortable temperature inside until different parts of car reach to normal temperature.
